Baking and sharing bread with the team
In the afternoon, after lunch we loaded more potatoes and sweets into the van.

We took the supplies to a church that serves needy children, Calvin and Daniel played a string game with the children. The children name a food good/or bad if the children enjoyed it they left their foot inside the string, if they didn't like it they pulled their foot out of the string. The last one to take their foot out of the string, looses. After the children ate, we passed out the sweets including a candy in a container with a pinwheel on it. The children enjoyed playing with them. Elaine , Ingrid and I met with Helen and four of her friends; we shared testimonies and life stories , it was a real blessing !

Good Evening,
This morning we delivered potatoes to needy families and individuals, and a church. We loaded up the van with potatoes, rice, sugar, flour, macaroni, oil, and margarine to Zahar's church where they feed both children and adults. The adults come with their containers, the church fills their containers and they take them home. There are some people who are disabled and their food is delivered to them.

One of the individuals we delivered potatoes to was a thirty three year old man who is paralyzed.

After lunch we filled the van up with potatoes and sweets (candy) and delivered the supplies to a church in Brinza. The church feeds the children.

Elaine, Bonnie, and Ingrid met with the ladies at Zahar's church, their testimonies were shared and a lady from the church shared her testimony.

It's not all work we enjoy ourselves too.

Buna Seara (Good Evening),
On Sunday the time changed, we didn't change our watches until this evening.
Today we visited three different churches. Calvin, Barry, and Daniel went to Zahar's church Colibasi. Tony, Pavel, Jack, Elaine, Ingrid, and Bonnie went to Cîslita-Prut. Pavel preached and Elaine, Ingrid, Bonnie, Jack, and Tony shared scriptures and/or their testimonies. We also gave out food to the families and candy to the children.

In the afternoon we went to a church in Brinza. Calvin, Elaine, Tony, and Pavel shared scriptures and their testimonies. Pavel played his accordian and he and the ladies sang songs.

We returned to Zahar's and had some fun/down time.
We enjoyed a dinner of stuffed peppers. After dinner we fellowshipped with Zahar and his family.

On Saturday, our first full day in Moldova, we got up and had breakfast. Zahar (local chuch pastor) took us to the Cantina, a building his church has been working on for eight years. They have a vision to feed the homeless within the community and establishing a type of orphanage with buildings where a married couple lives with three or four children.

We then headed to Cahul for some supplies, including potatoes, rice, macaroni, flour, oil, margarine, and candy, to be given to the people we will be seeing. Elaine and Ingrid with Daniel went shopping for Elaine, her suitcase was accidentally left in Bucharest.
In the afternoon we delivered food to a few families, before we went to Saturday evening service where Barry preached and Daniel interpreted for him.

After service we returned to Zahar’s for dinner where we experienced a delightful pumpkin pie like  none that we have tasted before. It was a great way to end our day.

Hi Everyone, we have arrived at the airport in Detroit, waiting for our flight to Amsterdam some of us are sipping Star Bucks with palm oil. Our first post at the Rochester International Airport failed, we only had five minutes of free internet there.
Calvin our team photographer has some great pictures of the fountain in Detroit. We had some interesting conversations on the plane about the use of palm oil.
